My California Adventure: Summer of 2017
Exploring LA was a blast. (Summer 2017)
A tandem bike is much harder than one would expect, but what better place to take on a challenge than Venice Beach on 1 hour of sleep.
We ran into a guy who wrote poems after you gave him a topic in Venice Beach. Mine was about adventures, considering Mel and I were on an adventure.
Who knew a Vegan milkshake could be so good!
This was the first day I drove in LA. Driving in LA is probably one of the craziest things I have ever done.
Hydrating is always a good thing when you are enduring the summer heat of LA.
These crepes are in a farmers market in LA, and they are a stop I always have to take every time I come to California.
A wave of pictures that mean something to me.
My baby brother isn’t so little anymore. I loved every minute of walking on the beach with him one morning. I love this picture because the small shadow reminds me of when he was little or the past. His body reminds me of the present and the large shadow forces me to think of the future. The amazing man my baby brother will be. I love that he is chasing the birds because regardless of time, he will always be the baby boy who used to asked me to play cars with him.
Community. I truly believe that leading a group of girls benefits the leader more than the ones being led.
A glorious novel grasps my attention. Nothing brings a variety of emotions more in my life. I was reading my favorite book of all time; I could not contain my shock at the turn of events.
Sunsets take my breath away each and every time I see one. The sky is a canvas waiting to be painted every evening.
I laugh as I see this picture. I ditched a country bar and tavern in Tennessee with live music to calm my nerves. I went to my happy place.
It was terrifying. Sushi is the most intimating food to try, yet it is the best food once it hits your tongue. It’s now my favorite.
I have had the privilege of vacationing to the same beach every year for as long as I can remember. The view of the ocean and the sand beneath my toes takes my breath away every time.
I have found a new passion called music. This was the day I purchased my first record.
Every time I see an elephant I think of my friend Cat. She was a foreign exchange student from Thailand. We both dream of riding elephants in Thailand together one day. I painted this mug in honor of her.
There is something so beautiful about how a jellyfish glides through the water. I yearn to glide through life with such grace.
Beauty is the only way to describe this chai latte. I
